She started her acting career in 2001 with several small television roles. Her movie career begun in 2004 with Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen where she appeared together with Lindsay Lohan. Later followed some very successful movies like Transformers in 2007, or her horror comedy Jennifer's Body in 2009. Megan Fox, a bikini-clad Leslie Mann, Paul Rudd, and Melissa McCarthy take the cover of Vanity Fair‘s first ever comedy issue for January 2013, on newsstands nationwide December 11.
The issue was guest edited by the group’s This Is 40 director Judd Apatow!
“I have always loved comedy, and this portfolio and issue, filled with men and women I admire, are my attempt to show you what it means to me,” Judd said. “Some of them have shaped my sensibility; others just make me laugh.”
Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Jim Carrey, and Will Ferrell are featured on a separate cover while Kristen Wiig, Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, and Jerry Seinfeld are the subjects of a third cover.
“It can reasonably be said that the comedy industry is booming these days, in movies, on television, and onstage. And who better to oversee an entire issue on the subject than one of the great impresarios of the business?,” Vanity Fair editor-in-chief Graydon Carter said. “Judd was a terrific collaborator, brimming with suggestions and infectious energy—precisely the sort of high-wattage, Hollywood-style enthusiasm that can alternately excite you and drive you a bit crazy.”
